- a modem hooked up to the internet
- an ethernet cord
- a computer capable of broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal
Solution:
- plug your ethernet cable into your computer; ensure that your computer has internet access
- if you own a Mac, go to system preferences > sharing, then choose internet sharing and select Wi-Fi (click here for more detail)
- setup the Wi-Fi network according to your preferences
